First the radiologist came and got me to put the blood clot filter in… Mike said it looked like it would make a good fishing lure. That part went well and was back and waiting for Dr. Lindberg.
Mike said the surgery took a lot longer than it was supposed to. Apparently everything was pretty torn up in there. The hospital and staff were very nice and we had a very comfortable stay there. I was only supposed to have a 1 night stay there but ended up staying 2 nights and almost a 3rd because I was having trouble with my oxygen level and they didn’t want to send me back up to altitude with O2 issues. So instead they sent me home with a bottle of oxygen and I ended up breathing oxygen while at home and at sleep for the next 3 months.
