Mike and Chelsie got to see this last year, but both Mike and I got to experience it this time. It last about a week and artist come from all over the world to carve their masterpieces from 20 tons of packed snow cubes. Its amazing what these artists can do. They are not allowed to use any sort of power tools, only hand tools. Its cool to see the progression all week. We went every night to see them.
One of the nights we had what they call here a “Blue Moon”, some people call it a “Wolf Moon”. Anyway from the road to our place it lit up the whole mountainside and I was able to get an awesome shot that ended up in an auction for the Summit County Habitat for Humanities.
