November 6, 2010 – Climbing Lumpy Ridge, Estes Park, CO

“Beautiful day to do some climbing…”

While Breckenridge is preparing for winter and already getting snow from time to time, parts of Colorado are still sunny and warm.  Today Mike and I are over in Estes Park, joining a friend of ours Andrew Councell to do some rock climbing in an area of Rocky Mountain National Park.  The area is called Lumpy Ridge and to be exact the rock face we are climbing is called “The Pear”.  Andrew is actually an internally guide for Colorado Mountain School in Estes Park and he guides all over the world.  If you are ever in Estes Park and want to take any type of climbing (rock or ice), mountaineering, you name, Andrew is the guy to see.  That is if he is not off on some exotic escapade somewhere… you can check out their website for all their courses.  You can also book guided trips with them to all sorts of cool locations.  Their website is:

We look forward to many more climbing adventures with Andrew in the future…
